Fade to Gray?

or fade to grey?

of course...the proper spelling (and i cant spell for toffee) is grey. That is to say...the english spelling is grey. Gray is american. Which is why i picked Gray in my last post...because there would be more americans reading it than UK residents.

Another thing i like about the whole "going gray" thing is that the word gray can be used for someone unnoticed....a gray man. And when you leave SG you are no longer noticed. Which has a nice little feel to it.

Incase you were wondering about the picture above....its a cherry blossom. Im thinking of doing pics of different people that comment here. Watch out for a picture of a wren soon.

I was hoping that a friend of mine would be going to europe next month and had planned to get him to drop off some presents to friends off mine, but alas that has fallen through.

In my last week on SG (and yes...i promise to stop talking about it soon...but its been a big part of my life for a year...so it may take a week or two) i started talking to some really intresting people. Its always the way...you find someone to talk to just as you go.

This song

has been stuck in my head all day.

Indeed, the Americans will often use "grey" also. I don't know if this is
a) they are snobby and want to appear cultured like they imagine all Brits to be, or
b) they are confused, or
c) it is just that variable.

All I can say is that the Grateful Dead's song is titled "A Touch of Grey."

If you ever come to Washington DC at Cherry Blosson time, there is a huge grove of cherry trees that the public can pick (it's about the only free thing in America). Which I think is the best way to enjoy cherry blossoms: in public, after they've been picked and trodden on by the masses ;)

and nice to read wren's comments on other people's blogs. still sick, it just won't go away. ah, there's this new animation movie i have to see, it's by dreamworks and features a bunch of french frogs.. i've seen a trailer and it was hilarious!

then a gray person is what i am...un-noticed and insignificant, just how i like it.

glad to hear your picking up all your old writings (in the last entry). it's quite refreshing to pick up on things again. gives a better sense of fullfillment.

take care.
